Order from Ohio Valley Soap by Tuesday, December 15, 2026 and your handmade soap gifts should reach anywhere in the lower 48 by Christmas. That date leaves room ahead of the USPS deadlines, which this year are December 17 for Ground Advantage, December 18 for Priority Mail and December 19 for Priority Mail Express.
Why our date is earlier than the USPS dates
The USPS dates are the last day to drop a package in the mail. Ours is the last day to place the order, and it builds in a little cushion for the December rush. If you order before 1:00 PM Eastern, we ship it the same day. Most U.S. orders then land in about 2 to 3 days by USPS Ground Advantage.
USPS 2026 holiday ship-by dates (for delivery before Dec 25)
- USPS Ground Advantage and First-Class Mail: Thursday, Dec 17
- Priority Mail: Friday, Dec 18
- Priority Mail Express: Saturday, Dec 19
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. territories: Ground Advantage can take 10 days or more, so order well ahead of Dec 15.
These come straight from the USPS holiday shipping page. Military and international mail have earlier dates, so check that page if your gift is going overseas.
Missed the date? Pick it up in Parkersburg
If you're local, you've got more time. Pickup is at 931 32nd St, Parkersburg, WV 26104, and we're open 10 AM to 8 PM Eastern every day. Orders are usually ready in about 2 hours, and pickup isn't tied to the 1 PM shipping cutoff. Call (304) 300-0348 with your order number and we'll tell you when it's ready. More on that in Pickup vs Ship for Christmas.
Make the shipping free
Shipping is free on U.S. orders of $35 and up. Bars run about $5 each, so a handful of gifts gets you there fast. Here are some easy $35 combos, or grab a few stocking stuffers under $10 to fill out the cart.
