Who We Are

Ohio Valley Soap is a family shop in Parkersburg, West Virginia. We make soap the way we’d want to use it ourselves — honest ingredients, fair prices, and bars that earn a second order.

Handmade on 32nd Street

Our home base is a renovated 106-year-old house in North Parkersburg. Behind it, the garage workshop is where we pour and cut soap — and where neighbors pick up orders on the way home.

We came to the Ohio Valley to put down roots and keep making skin care people can actually afford. The path here had its chapters; the work that matters now happens in that workshop, one batch at a time.

Ohio Valley Soap offers free shipping on U.S. orders totaling $35 or more. Local pickup is available at 931 32nd St, Parkersburg, WV 26104 (behind the house at Avery & 32nd). Pickup hours are 10 AM–8 PM Eastern daily; call (304) 300-0348 with your order number so we can confirm it is ready. Orders under $35 show the available shipping rate at checkout.

A family with a dream

Here at Ohio Valley Soap we started off in a small town on the West side of South Carolina creating handcrafted goods for our local community. After some trial and errors we were finally able to get our creative touches, fluidity with determination, and expanding our product line.

We moved to a new location having 2 acres and with our little space that we had, we started our farming industry. We didn't want to use chemicals to polute the environment and ground water which is why we went organic. All organic means is using the natural resources to produce delicious quality food without chemicals. Why did we want to put chemicals in our body that isn't needed to begin with?

We started with growing chickens and a small plot for farming and expanded very quickly with Turkeys, Quails, Pheasants, Ducks, Blue Tilapia, Crayfish, and even Prawns. Our biggest challange with livestock were foxes and with our vegetables being deers. After around a year worth of hard work and determination, we established five greenhouses which contained our herbs and horticulture seedlings.

We decided to expand even further. We were doing very well with our organic creations and with the help and feedback from our clients, our product line was expanding rapidly. Unfortunately we lost a love one who first inspired our organic skin care productions. We decided to relocate to another area so here we are moving to a new home. This is where Parkersburg WV comes in. We found this beautiful 104 year old home and with much renovation and cleaning we now have a nice home to put down our roots.

With our new old home, we also acquired a three car garage behind our main home. The beneifts of this layout gives us a two car garage and one garage being our workshop/store to make our soaps and candles allowing us to continue providing our clients what they love. Our goal in the future is to have a physical retail store giving us the ability to expand even more. I think our lost love one will be very proud on how things are turning out here at Ohio Valley Soap and our promise to you is to keep everything organic no matter how long we are here and to provide everyone organic skin care as they expect from us.
